What is a grip?
Like any profession, filmmaking is full of insider lingo. Venture to a movie set, and you're likely to hear the cast and crew using unfamiliar terms.
A grip, for example, is a person responsible for the adjustment and maintenance of production equipment on the set, according to IMDB's film glossary.
