Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival honors films from around the world at its annual event in the spring. The famed Golden Palm (or Palm D'Or) is the coveted prize at this featival. Directors, producers, movie stars and journalists convene to take in the world's top cinematic productions, as they have since the event started in 1946. Among the previous winners are L'Enfant, Pulp Fiction and Farehheit 9/11. For the 60th anniversary, Cannes celebrates with the film "To Each His Own Cinema" created by 33 directors from 25 different countries.

There are several Web guides and blogs that can help you through the festival. CinemaSpot editors have rounded up the best sites for reading reviews and catching some of the flicks from across the Atlantic.
