Louise Fletcher played Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), which starred Jack Nicholson.
Five actresses - Anne Bancroft, Colleen Dewhurst, Geraldine Page, Ellen Burstyn and Angela Lansbury - turned down the role before Fletcher accepted it only a week prior to filming.
