American Film Institute's 100 Funniest Movies

After polling more than 1,800 film industry leaders, the American Film Institute released its list of the 100 funniest American movies on June 13, 2000. According to the site, the AFI wanted to give comedies their due, as they are often overlooked by the major film awards.

Also on the site is the list of 500 films that the voters had to choose from (They were also allowed write-in votes.)
